The Technical Cadet Course (TCC) in the Pakistan Army is a comprehensive program designed to select and train individuals to become Commissioned Officers. To join the Pak Army through the 36th TCC, applicants must meet certain basic criteria and successfully pass a series of initial tests, which include past papers for Intelligence Tests, Academic Tests, and Interview questions.
These tests cover various subjects such as aptitude, intelligence, English, mathematics, computer, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. Criteria of Technical Cadet Course (TCC) in Pak Army
Age: 17-21 Years (Relax able for three months both in upper and lower age limit)
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Unmarried
Physical Standards for Technical Cadet Course:
- Minimum Height: 5 Feet & 4 Inches (162.5 cm)
- Weight: As per Body Mass Index
Qualification Required for Technical Cadet Course (TCC)
To be eligible for F.Sc (Pre Engineering), applicants must have obtained a minimum of 65% marks in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Studies/ Computer Sciences. Alternatively, candidates who have passed their “O” levels (with English being a compulsory subject) in five subjects and their “A” levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/ Computer Studies/ Computer Sciences with grades A-C are also eligible.
- Applicants who hold qualifications like “O” level and “A” level are obligated to acquire an Equivalence Certificate and convert their marks through the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad. This certificate should be attached to the application form, along with proof of passing Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies/Computer Sciences at the “A” level with grades ranging from A to C.
- Applicants who have achieved a minimum of 65% marks in the F.Sc Part-I Examination and are currently enrolled in or have completed the F.Sc Part-II / Final Examinations are eligible to apply. Additionally, candidates can also submit “HOPE certificates” issued by the Head of the Institution as part of their application.
- Candidates who wish to apply must provide their F.Sc Part-II roll number and the name of their Education Board, along with a photocopy of their Roll No Slip, to the General Headquarters (GHQ), Personnel Administration (PA) Directorate (PA-3b), Rawalpindi. It is important to note that F.Sc final result cards/mark sheets must be submitted within one week of the announcement of the F.Sc Board results. Failure to do so will result in the candidates not being considered for the final merit.
- Only candidates who have successfully completed their F.Sc in Computer Sciences are eligible to apply for the Computer Software Engineering program.
Ineligibility Criteria for Technical Cadet Course (TCC)
Candidate who want to apply in Technical Cadet Course are not eligible to apply if:
- Rejected twice by the Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB), General Headquarters (GHQ), Naval Headquarters (NHQ), and Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board.
- Expelled from any Academy or Training Institution of the Armed Forces for any reason.
- Expelled from any bonded Armed Forces college or institution due to disciplinary issues.
- Dismissed, removed, or debarred from Government Services, including the Armed Forces.
- Convicted in a court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
- Permanently declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
- Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (These candidates are not eligible to request appearance in the AMB).
- Declared medically unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital, except for those cleared by the Appeal Medical Board.
- Diploma holders.
- Those currently studying in any of the Armed Forces Institutions or Academies, or nominated against reserve defense quota seats, or studying as Paying Cadets in any of the Armed Forces Technical Colleges.
Initial Tests for Technical Cadet Course (TCC)
If you wish to apply for the Technical Cadet Course, please be informed that a series of tests will be conducted at the Selection centers.
Candidates who have passed the Intelligence tests, which include Verbal Intelligence and Non-Verbal Intelligence assessments, will proceed to the academic test. The academic test will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) from subjects such as English, Physics, Mathematics, and either Chemistry, Computer Studies, or Computer Sciences (for Computer Science students only). Those who are successful in the academic tests will then be required to undergo physical tests at the AS & RCs.
Physical Tests for Technical Cadet Course (TCC)
Physical Tests: Candidates must qualify following physical tests:
- 1.6 Km Run – 8 Minutes
- Push Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 Minutes
- Sit Ups – 20 repetitions in 2 Minutes
- Chin Ups – 3 repetitions in 2 Minutes
- Ditch Crossing – 7’.4” and 4’ Deep
Preliminary Medical Test: Candidates will undergo initial medical test at AS & RCs.
Further Selection Procedure for Technical Cadet Course (TCC)
Shortlisted candidates will receive notifications for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) tests via the website and call up letters. The medical examination for recommended candidates will be conducted at nearby CMHs. The final selection will be made at the general headquarters (GHQ) based on the candidate’s overall performance. Disciplines will be allocated based on merit and choice. The decision of the GHQ in discipline allotment will be final, and no requests for change will be entertained.
Documents Required for Registration of Technical Cadet Course
Following documents/ certificate are required at the time of registration:-
Please note that the following documents are required for the application:
- Original Certificate/Detailed Mark Sheet of Matric/FSc/Equivalent certificate. If you have completed “O” Level/”A” Level, you must also submit an Equivalence certificate issued by IBCC.
- For candidates who are 18 years and above, a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is mandatory. For candidates below 18 years of age, a Computerized Form “B” along with the CNIC of the Father or Guardian is required.
- One set of attested photographs, attested by the Principal/Class-I Gazetted Officer. One photograph should be from the front, and two photographs should be from the back.
- Three colored photographs, along with attested photocopies of both sides of the above-mentioned documents.
- Repeater candidates must also provide the original as well as three photocopies of the Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) “Not Recommended” letter.
